Ski locker with two boot warmers on full blast out the door and 20m to the Chaudanne run, 100m shuffle to Tovierre So whats going to go wrong, Budget ? on return swoop down Palafour, past the lift office, into Chaudanne run , sharp right and outside the Apun Ski locker door (keep a bit of speed up) perfect. So whats going to go wrong ? Great breakfast, again ladies very friendly and cheerful. So Hotel Apun popped up on Booking dot com £200 cheaper and close to slope what could possibly go wrong (budget and Tignes does not seem to gell !!) absolutely fantastic, great ladies on reception, really helpful and friendly, clean room, loads of hot water, a place for my travel kettle and space on the Balcony for the milk and a couple of beers/wine. …Hi, we normally stay at the Hotel Le Refuge in Tignes for the first ski trip of the season, fantastic hotel and great location, but the budget was a bit tight this year. & Tignes a great area for skiing. Great price, will definitely stay again.
A 1 star Budget Hotel, friendly staff, warm n cosy 100m from the Tovierre lift superb. Theres a suggestion this might be knocked down in the summer and a big swish job thrown in its place !!! STOP, don't do it, apparently it was called something else and had gone down hill, but our experience last week was absolutely superb. Aaaaaaarrggghhh NO LIFT !!! so achy knees creeping up 3 floors to Room 7, but thats absolutely the only downside to this little gem.
We will be back at the end of season for another blast. If you want to Ski in one of Europes best locations without having to get a bus or walk 1/2 mile on a budget then get in there super quick and tell them to not knock this little gem down.
